I bought 3lbs of potato salad for a dollar

Then i decided to start a blog.  It seemed right the right thing to do.  This will be the kickoff of my first blogging [a small brown mouse just ran across my floor]. Basically, i'm sick of 'social networking' websites and want to try a different avenue of communication, documentation of my travels and fuck-ups, and advertisements of my own endeavors in a gratuitous fashion.   So read on, if you're felling it:

I returned home yesterday from a trip to visit my lady in Tucson and needed groceries badly. I set a $10 limit for food for the week (I only had $17 in my pocket and I'd like some whiskey this week).  That was my mission and i was prepared for it.  Off to Price Rite (ghetto foodstore) to browse for any thing cheap and edible. i spied this little tub of potatoes in a cooler near the entrance and it looked like a good buy to me, at only $0.99 no less! In case you're wondering what ten bucks gets you at a WIC-friendly ghetto foods store, here's what i got:

-one jar of fake-italian brand pasta sauce ($0.99)

-four gala apples ($1.14) fuck scurvy

-family pack of beef, bean and red chili burritos ($2.99)

-three pound tub of potato salad containing real HELLMANS™ ($0.99)

-one pack of microwave-able peas ($0.99)

-one Mrs. P's (mama celeste rip-off) personal pizza ($0.79)

-four packages of ramen, two beef and two oriental ($0.67)

-one loaf of wheat bread ($1.19)

-one plastic bag to take it all home in ($.10)

total= $9.85

This is what i have to eat for the week. My girlfriend fed me so well in Tucson for two weeks but now I'm broke and need to save my money for further touring/traveling adventures in the coming months, which i'll document in this blog when i can.  More imprtantly at the moment is the documentation of me successfully eating 3 lbs of potato salad by myself before it goes bad (Ashley, my girlfriend, expressed concern that eating bad potato salad could be very harmful). We shall see how it goes together.
